To help close the widening gap between workforce demand and supply, Stratos offers a $2,000 scholarship to outstanding candidates pursuing aviation careers.
Eligibility
To be considered for the $2,000 Stratos Jet Charters scholarship, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled at, or a high school student accepted to, an accredited college or university in the United States.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Be preparing to enter a field within the aviation industry.
Submit proof of enrollment (or acceptance), evidence of academic standing, and your chosen area of study when you apply.
Essay Guidelines
The aviation industry anticipates a significant pilot shortage over the next 20 years. To keep pace with demand, the sector will require, on average, more than 80 newly flight-ready pilots each day worldwide during this period. Applicants must submit an original, well-researched essay exploring the implications of this Pilot Shortage. Essays should be between 1,200 and 1,500 words and demonstrate thoughtful analysis. Please ensure careful attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

In addition to the essay, your application must include:
- Contact information: full name, email address, and phone number.
- Proof of enrollment in (or acceptance to) an accredited U.S. college or university.
- An official or unofficial transcript confirming GPA and courses of study.
