Overview
The Leon Bradley Scholarship was created to increase the representation of individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in teaching and school leadership roles. The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) supports the idea that students benefit when their educators reflect diverse experiences and serve as varied role models.
Award details
- AASPA will grant up to two scholarships each year.
- Each award is $3,500.00.
- Scholarships are intended to help candidates pursuing their initial teaching certification endorsement.
Eligibility
Applicants must be entering their final year of completing certification/endorsement requirements (the final year begins Fall 2025). This includes completion of student teaching if that component applies to the candidate’s program.
Required application materials
Please submit the following items with your application:
- Completed application form
- Unofficial copy of your transcript
- Letter from the Dean of the College of Education or an authorized representative
- Letter of character reference
- Current resume
