GSK Opportunity Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Triangle Community Foundation
The GSK Opportunity Scholarship provides annual scholarships of up to $5,000 (renewable for up to 3 additional years) to Triangle residents (Orange, Wake, Durham counties) who demonstrate the potential to succeed despite adversity and an exceptional desire to improve themselves through further education/training.
Amount & Use of Funds
The scholarship may be used towards any need listed under the school’s total cost of attendance. The student is responsible for all other charges. Payments are made annually for up to four years (up to $5,000 per year), and the student must maintain good academic standing and submit semester reports in order to continue receiving funding.
Criteria
In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum GPA: 2.5
- Residency Requirements: Residents of Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties
- High School Restrictions: None
- Plan of Study Restrictions: Applicants must attend or plan to attend a public college or university in North Carolina. There is no restriction on degree type.
How To Apply
This scholarship is part of our universal online application. When you log on to the online system, you will be prompted to enter some basic information through an eligibility quiz, and the system will present you with all the scholarships you are eligible for and their application questions.
