Birmingham Member Chapter Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST)
Purpose The AIST Birmingham Member Chapter Scholarships exist to recognize and support local high school seniors and currently enrolled undergraduate students who are preparing for careers in engineering. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students attending any accredited college or university full time. Award Details - One one-year scholarship of $2,000 will be offered annually. - The award may be renewed for up to three additional years (maximum total of four years) subject to review of the recipient’s academic record. - The Scholarship Award Committee will select the recipient from students in the AIST Birmingham Chapter service area using criteria it establishes. - If no qualified engineering applicants apply, the committee may award the scholarship to an eligible student pursuing another major related to iron or steel production.
