Founded by Karolyn’s family in March 2005, the Karolyn King Carter Scholarship was created to honor her devotion to and love of the visual arts. The award celebrates students who demonstrate clear artistic talent in visual media.

$2,500 — one-year scholarship.
Who is eligible
- Graduating high school seniors or currently enrolled college students who live in or are from Greene County, Tennessee.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- A demonstrated passion for and commitment to the visual arts.
How to apply
Submit the East Tennessee Foundation Common Application between December 15 and March 15 to determine eligibility for this scholarship and other awards.
