Overview We administer more than 150 scholarship funds created by generous donors to help students from kindergarten through graduate school pursue their educational ambitions. Awards are provided according to the individual fund’s eligibility and selection rules. Application timeline - Early December: Current scholarship recipients receive notice to complete the online Scholarship Renewal Application. New applications are posted on the online scholarships portal at the same time. - Early March: Most scholarship applications to FFTC are due. (Confirm each fund’s specific deadline.) - March–May: Scholarship review committees evaluate submitted applications. - March–June: Applicants are notified of award decisions. - Mid-June: Scholarship checks are sent directly to the recipients’ schools. Important cycle dates The 2025–2026 application cycle opens November 20, 2024 and closes February 28, 2025. How to search scholarships You can search the scholarship database four ways. Choose the categories that apply and click “Search by Keyword” or “Search by Eligibility.” Results include scholarships that match your selections as well as funds listed as “Not Specified” in those categories. - Keyword(s): Search by words in the scholarship name. - Major/Area of Study: Find scholarships for the field you plan to study. - Type of Student: Filter by your academic classification for the upcoming year. - County or Geographic Residence: Search by your current legal county, city, or state of residence. Application and eligibility notes - Each scholarship has distinct selection criteria and application requirements. Review the “How to Apply” instructions for every fund you plan to pursue. - Most Foundation For The Carolinas (FFTC) scholarship funds use the online application portal; a limited number require applicants to apply through an external school or organization. - Scholarship funds may award grants to eligible students attending colleges and universities in the United States.
